Kids TV Veteran Robinson Takes Over at Imira Entertainment

International media executive and TV veteran Paul Robinson will replace Sergi Reitg as CEO of Spanish kids-family content distributor-producer Imira Entertainment.

Reitg, who has been a part of Imira since its launch in 2003, plans to “take a break from the day-to-day demands of building and running a TV distribution and co-production operation”.

With years of kids experience to his name, having worked at The Walt Disney Company, NBC Universal and the BBC, Robinson will be charged with taking Imira to the next stage of its growth within the global kids and family entertainment business. He will be based in London.

In its native Spain, Imira has solid relationships with pubcasters TV3 and RTVE and Telefonica’s paybox Movistar +, as well as with more well-established giants such as Disney, Viacom and Turner. Over the last year, Imira inked deals with Netflix and HBO, increasing its titles’ visibility to audiences worldwide.
Acquired by Toonz in 2015, Imira’s last financial year achieved record incomes in its 15-year history, increasing sales revenues by 20% compared to the previous financial exercise.
Indian firm Toonz Media Group purchased Imira in 2015.
